Easing the Pain

the pain can be eased
just one little cut
and another and another
the blood is flowing now
it does not hurt any more
you just clean it up
roll down your sleeve
go on with your day
no one knows
no one can hear your silent screams
no one wants to hear your screams
no one wants to know what you do
the day gets bad
your smile is glued to your face
you deal with your day any way
it will be okay
just one more cut
and it will be better
the pain can be eased
