If only she could be everything they want her to be,
then maybe her life would be easier.
If only she was just a little thinner,
then maybe she could eat all those meals she keeps passing up.
If only her clothing was a little more like the ones in the mall,
then maybe the kids at school wouldn’t gawa and stare like they always do.
If only she looked the way they wanted her to,
then maybe people would laugh at her the way always do.
If only she acted happy like everyone else,
then maybe people would be happy to see her too.
If only she could get out of this place,
then maybe everything would turn out ok.
If only she was anyone else but her,
then maybe just maybe she could be happy.
If only…
