Lia
My name is Lia and I had been cutting for about a year before I was put in inpatient programs. I was in them for two years, and was just discharged in December of 2004 from the only one that had helped me. Before discharge, I hadn’t cut in months. Now I am back home, but I was hospitalised in January. I realised that it is so difficult, even after you get treatment, to stop cutting. It is an addiction. Every aspect of it. The blood, the art, the pain, the healing and the scars are addictive. And the only advice I could give to stop is to just not start.
