I started SI at the age of around 13, and am now 3 months away from turning 18. It started as a way to deal with my anger with myself and with my parents, when I had no one to talk to. 2 years ago I was able to stop with my last significant other’s help, but once we seperated, I started up again. I now find that a lot of the time I cannot get through the day without it.
The thing that I know is hardest on me, is that only a few of the people closest to me are willing to help me. My mother, if she knows, pretends not to, as well as my current boyfriend. I am submitting my pictures to this site, in hopes that they will help someone, as many of the images have helped me in times of need.
