I’m Allie. I’m 18 years old, living in Ontario Canada. I’ve only been cutting myself for about eight or nine months now I think. It has only become a daily thing in the last two weeks, although I don’t know why. I usually use a safety pin. Lately I’ve been using a box cutter. Sometimes I heat up metal and burn myself, but not usually. I don’t like doing this but it has become one of my last, effective, escapes from my emotional sadness and frustration with this world. These scars have the power to remind me that the past is real.
