Simply Searching for a Reason

After years of searching for a reason behind the state of my mental health, I was finally given one word. Bipolar. This was the one word I had been looking for, the one word that would stop myself from cutting away at my skin. The one word that would get me medication. But this one word turned out to be just that; a mere word. Nothing has changed since, though I am now monitored and medicated, I still lock myself away in my mind. We go searching for reasons because we think it will change everything around, make it better, but it infact makes no difference at all.

Now I spend my my time, making myself known, proving that even though I have this word written down, I am not alone and there are others with words that have similar meanings.
