It started in the seventh grade when I wanted to harm myself with a music stand. Three years later, I’ve become part of the hopeless drabble that is America’s teens; cutting, attempting suicide, just like everyone else. But I’m not like everyone else. I don’t cut because it’s cool, I don’t want to justify suicide as the “in” thing. I am miserably falling back into a pattern, only instead of cutting three times a day, I am cutting once a month, but picking every day. I am getting lots of help, but what I really need is people I can talk to that understand.
