I’m not a self harmer, I’m an addict. I’m addicted to the feeling I get when the blade moves across my skin. I’m addicted to the feeling I get when I see the blood rushing from within me.
I need that feeling every day. I don’t self harm, I’m from a good home, I’m in a good relationship. The only difference between this addiction and a drug addiction is the lack of help there is for cutting. At the first sign of SI’ing a psychiatrist is the only option.
For anyone who knows me, I don’t self harm I feed my addiction.
