Wilting Rose
Copyright, Eva Rich
Hi, my name is Eva and I love this site and I would like to share some of my poetry.
Petal by petal she drifts gracefully to the ground,
Weeping outloud, she hears no other sound.
Wearing a gown of thorns, she is the epitome of death
Soiling the silk with blood, the only life thats left.
The once beautiful rose is wilting, wilting away.
Praying for peace, no longer living, no longer afraid.
With a last surge of energy she release a sigh
Escapes the prison of life and feels the freedom to die.
