The best single-page introduction to self injury I have come across. It describes the methods, demographics etc. and has a reasonable list of resources.

- Beneath The Covers: Self-harm - A quick description of self injury. Also mentions some of the myths about self injury. Unfortunately has lots of javascript effects.
- Danger Signals Of Self-Harm - Some things to look out for. The signs mentioned might also indicate suicidal behaviour or depression.
- Deliberate self-harm in young people - A factsheet from The Royal College of Psychiatrists. Part of the Mental Health and Growing Up series.
- Dr. Moskovitz Discusses Self-Harm - Talks about the links between BPD and self injury.
- Haven - Describes itself as "A sanctuary for those who support self-injurers". Has nice sections on how to talk about self injury and how to take care of oneself.

- Self Harm - A short introduction from Abhaya's Home. The site has lots of information on topics like mpd and ritual abuse.

Offers the author's personal experiences and a brief general description of self injury. Has some interesting sections on how to stop. Lists a lot of interesting answers to a self injury questionnaire hosted on the site.

Has a lot of useful information on how to handle self injury emergencies.
- Cutters - An essay-style introduction to self injury and a nice section on how friends can help self injurers.
- Self-Harm - 8 pages of short descriptions of different aspects of self injury. Has an interesting theory on the cycle of self mutilation.
- Self-harm - A description of self injury as well as pages on how to stop and how to control bleeding from cuts. Also tells the author's self injury story.

- Untitled - A short introduction to self injury from the website Dissolving Venus The site also has a short introduction to depression.
- Voices of Experience: Self-Injury - A mini-site on about.com.
- Whats the Harm? - Describes what self injury is and how to try to prevent it. Is hosted on a somewhat dodgy server, so you might not get to it in your first try.
